El 23 de Noviembre es la fiesta del Beato Miguel. Miguel Pro nació el día 13 de enero de 1891, en Guadalupe, Zacatecas en la República Mexicana. Desde su infancia, la risa y la alegría fueron características importantes de su personalidad. A los 20 años de edad ingresó en el noviciado de la Compañía de Jesús (Jesuitas). Muy poco tiempo El Padre Pro sufrió gravemente de una enfermedad de estómago y aún después de varias operaciones, no se mejoró. Posteriormente, a pesar de la gran persecución un su país, le fue permitido regresar a México en 1926. Se sintió obligado a pasar el resto de su vida llevando a Cristo a sus paisanos. Esto fue como su misión especial. Pasó su tiempo atendiendo secretamente a los tenaces católicos mexicanos, muchas veces en una forma incógnita o disfrazada. Muchas veces apenas pudo escaparse y finalmente, se publicó una orden formal de su detención; con esto, empezó a esconderse.
Mientras lo llevaban a su ejecución, perdonó tanto al carcelero como al pelotón de ejecución. Como su último deseo, pidió permiso para orar; luego, rehusando que le vendaran los ojos, extendió sus brazos en forma de cruz y con voz firme exclamó: " ¡ VIVA CRISTO REY !" entregando así su vida consagrada a Dios Nuestro Señor. CRISTO REY, por la intercesión del BEATO MÁRTIR MIGUEL PRO, te pedimos responder a nuestras peticiones. Danos, te rogamos, la gracia y la fuerza necesarias para seguir su ejemplo heroico y así vivir nuestra fe católica, a pesar de todas las tentaciones y adversidades. Amén Dios y Padre nuestro, que concediste a tu hijo Miguel Agustín, en su vida y en su martirio, buscar con entusiasmo tu mayor gloria y la salvación de los hombres, concédenos, a ejemplo suyo, servirte y glorificarte cumpliendo nuestras obligaciones diarias con fidelidad y alegría, y ayudando eficazmente a nuestros prójimos. Te pedimos también, Padre Santo, que, si es tu voluntad, podamos pronto venerar al Beato Miguel Agustín, como un nuevo Santo de la Iglesia. Por Cristo Nuestro Señor |
DEVOUT MIGUEL AGUSTIN PRO, S.J. The 23 of November are the celebration of Devout Miguel. Miguel Pro was born day 13 of January of 1891, in Guadalupe, Zacatecas in the Mexican Republic. From their childhood, the laughter and the joy were characteristic important of their personality. To the 20 years of age it entered in the noviciado one of the Company of Jesus (Jesuit). Later, in spite of the great persecution a its country, was allowed to him to return to Mexico in 1926. One felt forced to pass the rest of his life taking to Christ to his countrymen. This was like its special mission. It spent his time secretly taking care of the tenacious Mexican catholics, often in an incognito or disguised form. Often as soon as it could escape finally and, a formal order of its halting was published; with this, it began to hide. It was accused falsely of treason in connection with an attack, and although there were tests to confirm his innocence, ordered his execution. It was betrayed to the police by a young person who feared the death of his mother; and it was that few days before his halting it had said to a friend his that had offered their life to save to Mexico and that thought that God had accepted its offering.

después, los novicios tuvieron que salir del país a casua de la Revolución Mexicana. Así fue como llegó a ordenarse Sacerdote Jesuita en Bélgica el día 25 de agosto de 1925. 
Fue acusado falsamente de traición en conexión con un atentado, y aunque hubo pruebas para confirmar su inocencia, ordenaron su ejecución. Fue traicionado a la policía por un joven que temía la muerte de su mamá; y resultó que unos pocos días antes de su detención había dicho a un amigo suyo que había ofrecido su vida para salvar a México y que pensaba que Dios había aceptado su ofrenda.
